IGLA CAN-Bus Security

The immobiliser thieves can't find, can't bypass.

IGLA is a covert CAN-bus immobiliser and anti-hijack system. No visible keypad, no extra fob to lose — your car simply won't drive without a secret sequence only you know. Defeats relay attacks, key cloning and OBD theft outright.

Authorised IGLA Installer · NSW All Makes & Models Hidden Deep in the Loom Immobilisers from $1,188 Installed

Relay Attacks

Thieves capture and amplify your key fob's signal from inside your home to unlock and start the car.

Key Cloning

Cheap programmers copy or create a working key in seconds through the OBD port.

CAN Injection

Devices spliced into the wiring spoof the car into thinking a valid key is present.

Carjacking

The car is taken while running or with the key in hand — no electronics required.

IGLA is compatible with 130+ makes worldwide — including
Holden Toyota BMW Mercedes Volkswagen Subaru Nissan Ford Hyundai Kia Audi Suzuki GM
Plus Tesla, Lexus, Land Rover, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Volvo, and many more — with new vehicles added regularly.
How IGLA Works

A secret PIN, entered through buttons already in your car.

IGLA connects to your vehicle's CAN-bus network and arms automatically. To drive away, you enter a personal code using factory controls you already use every day — there's nothing extra to install on the dash and nothing for a thief to spot.

01

It arms itself

Each time you stop and leave the car, IGLA silently arms. No fob, no app, no action needed from you.

02

You enter your code

A secret sequence using existing buttons — steering wheel, door, climate or other factory controls — disarms it. Only you know the combination.

03

No code, no drive

Without the sequence the engine immobilises. In anti-hijack mode the car can be driven a short distance, then safely shuts down — useful if a thief takes it while running.

Completely Covert

Invisible to thieves — and to anyone else.

There's no flashing LED, no keypad glued to the dash, no aftermarket fob in the cupholder. IGLA hides inside the vehicle's own electronics, so a thief has no idea it's even there until the car refuses to move.

  • No visible hardware to locate or rip out
  • Nothing that signals "this car is protected"
  • Can't be bypassed by replacing the key or ECU

Concealed Installation

Buried deep where thieves won't look.

Every IGLA we fit is spliced into the wiring loom deep inside the vehicle. The goal is to take everything the system needs — CAN-bus, LIN, switched power and ignition, and more — from as few points as possible, ideally a single concealed one. The fewer connections we make, the harder the system is to find. Standard installations need no cutting, which covers the vast majority of jobs, so the result is a clean, professional install that's tough to locate — not just for an opportunistic thief, but even on a workshop bench.

  • A clean, professional splice into the loom on every install
  • No cutting required for standard installations — the vast majority of jobs
  • Taps CAN-bus, LIN, power & ignition from as few points as possible
  • Concealed deep enough to resist discovery — even under inspection

What owners say

Nearly every review
mentions the same thing.

Not the hardware — the handover. Every system is fitted, tested and explained in full before the car leaves the workshop, and that is what people write about afterwards.

“We have a pair of VF2 Commodores — an SSV Redline and an SV6 wagon, so with all the thefts going on, we were left feeling like sitting ducks waiting for disaster… But with Mike from Evolve, we settled on the full IGLA suite and made a booking. It's an impressive piece of kit and Mike's install and instructions were top notch work… serenity has returned to our Commodore ownership experiences! Love your car? Get Mike, get an IGLA!”

“Michael is an excellent technician and communicator. He was totally honest phoning me before install to disclose that there was technical issues with the 2026 RAV4 meaning the full suite of features on the IGLA immobiliser weren't operational. Based on his honesty I decided to go ahead. Michael spent 6 hours working on getting the IGLA operational. He is the first installer to successfully install the IGLA in a ‘26 RAV4. He kept in contact to inform me how the install was going and if I was ok with the extended time. Thankyou Michael I have no hesitation in using your services again or recommending you to others.

VF Commodore

Driving a VF Commodore?

There's one more layer worth considering on a VF. The Ultimate Horn Solution ties the horn into your alarm system — cut the wires and the alarm trips, while your horn keeps working exactly as it should. It's fitted at the same appointment as your IGLA, on the same hoist.

Driving something else? The VF gets its own products simply because it's what we see most — IGLA itself fits virtually any make and model. Ask us and we'll match the right setup to your car.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Will IGLA stop relay and keyless theft?
Yes. Even if a thief relays your key signal, clones a key or plugs into the OBD port, the car still won't drive without your secret disarm sequence. IGLA blocks the methods that defeat the factory immobiliser.
Is there anything visible inside the car?
No. There's no keypad, screen or aftermarket fob. You disarm using buttons your car already has, so there's nothing on the dash to give the system away.
I've heard the Autowatch Ghost II is the same thing — is it?
In hardware terms, yes. IGLA Australia, the authorised AUTHOR distributor here, states that the Autowatch Ghost, Ghost II and Ghost 2 are the same devices as the AUTHOR IGLA 200 and 231, rebranded and sold under the Ghost name. It's a good system, and fitted the same way it does the same job. What varies is the installation itself and which range the unit sits in for later upgrades — GPS tracking, or a full alarm rather than an immobiliser on its own. We've set this out properly on a separate page: Ghost II vs AUTHOR IGLA — what's actually different.
Does fitting IGLA cut into my wiring?
Standard installations don't require any cutting, and that covers the vast majority of jobs. We do make a clean, professional splice into the wiring loom on every install — that's deliberate. We tap in deep inside the car and take what the system needs — CAN-bus, LIN, power and ignition — from as few points as possible. The fewer connections we make, the harder the system is to find, even in a workshop.
What if I forget the code, or need to leave the car with a mechanic?
Every IGLA comes with an emergency code and a special sequence — keep these somewhere safe at home. If you ever forget your PIN, the emergency code lets you set up a new one. And for situations like a service centre or valet parking, a valet mode lets the car be driven without your personal code — it's intended for short-term situations like these rather than for lending the car out.
Do you come to me to install it?
No — IGLA is fitted at our Kellyville or Wilberforce workshop so it can be installed and tested correctly. Bring the vehicle in and we'll take care of the rest.
Can I add GPS tracking as well?
Yes. IGLA pairs with AUTHOR Tele Compass 2 — covert real-time GPS location tracking — so you have both prevention and recovery in one system. Ask us about bundling the two.
Do you install IGLA outside NSW?
We fit IGLA at our Kellyville and Wilberforce workshops and don't travel beyond greater Sydney. If you're elsewhere in Australia, IGLA is fitted by authorised installers in every state — you can find your nearest authorised IGLA installer on the IGLA Australia website.
I drive a VF Commodore — is there anything else I should consider?
Yes. The Ultimate Horn Solution is a VF-specific deterrent that integrates the horn with your alarm system — cut the wires and the alarm trips, while the horn keeps working normally. It can be fitted at the same appointment as your IGLA. We also fit KSmart wireless CarPlay and Android Auto to the VF, though that's an audio upgrade rather than security. If you're in something else, just ask — the VF has its own products because it's what we see most, but IGLA itself fits virtually any make and model.
What's the difference between IGLA 200 and IGLA 231?
Nothing in the device itself or how it's installed — it's the same immobiliser, fitted exactly the same way in your car. The only difference is IGLA 231 ships with two extra security key-fobs, handy if you want a spare or a fob for a second driver. If you don't need the extra fobs, IGLA 200 gives you identical protection for less.
