Evolve AutoTech ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Who we are

Evolve AutoTech is a licensed vehicle security specialist operating in Sydney, NSW, with workshops in Kellyville and Wilberforce.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information you provide to us directly. This includes:

• Contact form submissions — name, phone number, email address, suburb, vehicle details, and any message or service selection you provide when enquiring about a quote or installation.
• Purchase information — when you buy a product through our online shop, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not collect or store your card details. Stripe may collect your name, email, shipping address and payment details directly in accordance with their own privacy policy.
• Phone or email correspondence — if you contact us directly, we retain that correspondence to respond to your enquiry and provide our services.

Our website also uses cookies and third-party analytics and advertising tools (including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) that automatically collect certain technical information when you browse the site. See section 5 for details and your choices.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to enquiries and provide quotes
• Schedule and carry out installations or services you have requested
• Process and fulfil product orders, including shipping
• Communicate with you about your enquiry, booking or order
• Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed security business

Marketing emails. We may email our existing customers, and anyone who ticks “Keep me posted” on our enquiry form, about new products and offers. Every such email says it is from Evolve Autotech and has a one-click unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe we stop, and we keep a record so it stays that way. You will still receive messages about a booking or job you have with us. We may also send factual service notices, such as a firmware update or a recall affecting a device fitted to your vehicle, to every customer it affects.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services we use

To operate this website and our business, we rely on the following third-party providers, each of which has its own privacy policy:

• Our customer records system — contact form submissions are saved in our own customer records system, hosted on the same server as this website, so we can reply and keep track of your enquiry. To keep out automated spam, a scrambled (one-way) form of your internet address is kept for 30 days and then deleted.
• Stripe — processes payments for online purchases. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and we never see or store your card details. View Stripe's privacy policy
• Google Analytics — provided by Google, measures how visitors use our website so we can improve it. View Google's privacy policy
• Meta Pixel — provided by Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), measures the performance of our advertising and may be used to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. View Meta's privacy policy

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar technologies — including third-party analytics and advertising tools — to understand how the site is used and to measure our marketing. The tools we use are:

• Google Analytics (GA4) — uses cookies to collect pseudonymous information about how visitors interact with the site, such as pages viewed, time on site, approximate location, and device and browser type. We use this only to understand and improve the website. You can opt out across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Meta Pixel — uses cookies to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and may allow us to show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited our website. You can manage ad personalisation in your Facebook ad preferences.

These tools may set cookies on your device and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you visit. This information is collected directly by Google and Meta in accordance with their own privacy policies (linked in section 4).

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website function. Because Google and Meta are global companies, information collected through these tools may be stored and processed overseas.

6. Data storage and security

Personal information collected through our contact form is delivered to our business email and may be retained for record-keeping and follow-up purposes. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access.

Information related to purchases is held securely by Stripe in accordance with international payment industry security standards.

Some of the third-party providers we rely on (including Google, Meta, Stripe and our email provider) may store or process information on servers located outside Australia. Where information is disclosed to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Disclosure of information

We do not disclose your personal information to any third party except:

• Where required to fulfil a service or order (e.g. shipping carriers for product delivery)
• Where required or authorised by law
• With your consent

8. Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at mike@evolveautotech.com.au. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law (including tax and business record-keeping obligations).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us directly at mike@evolveautotech.com.au so we can address your concerns. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
